Welcome to Aula. By using the platform you accept these terms.

1. About the service

Aula is a collective intelligence platform that makes it easy for organisations and public bodies to collect, analyse and use input from many people. Participants can share input, support others' ideas and contribute to better decisions.

The service is provided by Travers Lab AS, organisation number 926 801 317, with headquarters at Tøyengata 53, 0578 Oslo, Norway.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have parental consent if you are younger.

3. Privacy and data processing

Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy. In brief:

  • Participants respond anonymously. We store responses, map markers and voluntarily provided background information.
  • IP addresses are stored for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and then automatically deleted.
  • Input may be analysed with AI to identify patterns and themes — without individuals being identifiable.
  • All primary data storage takes place in the EU. The AI provider (Mistral) does not use customer data for model training.

4. Use of the service

You agree to:

  • Use Aula in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Not upload, share or distribute content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory or harmful.
  • Not misuse the service to disturb other users or the system.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these terms.

5. AI synthesis

Aula uses artificial intelligence to summarise and analyse input. Only aggregated free text is sent to the AI service — never IP addresses, email, demographics or map coordinates. All synthesis is reviewed and approved by a responsible person before being used in decisions.

6. Intellectual property

Content, technology and design in Aula are protected by copyright. You are permitted to use the platform for personal or professional use, but may not copy, distribute or modify content without written permission.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for direct or indirect losses arising from your use of the service, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and the service's functionality as needed. Material changes will be communicated to you. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using Aula at any time by deleting your account. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access if you breach these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall first be attempted resolved amicably. If that does not succeed, the matter may be brought before the courts in Oslo, Norway.
